Answer: One to two hours
Explanation: Our consultations are very detailed. We walk through the home several times. Once to assess what furniture and accessories can be used in which spaces and a second to ask questions of the homeowner, and a third to solidify the staging plan. We leave the homeowner with a completed staging report which they can follow on their own, or have us come back and work with them to execute.
Constructive Consulting, LLC Home Staging & Redesign
Answer: One to two hours
Explanation: An occupied home staging consultation is what I call the initial walk-through of the home with the homeowners and typically lasts two hours. Consultations should begin at the curb and continue through all interior rooms as well as the exterior spaces (porch, deck, patio, & yard). I take "before" photographs and follow up with a written report that homeowners can use as their "to-do" list. If they want additional help, they can hire my staging services for a half day or whole day.

Answer: Two to four hours
Explanation: Typically, our staging consultation is between 2 and 3 hours. 2 hours for a home under 2000 sq feet, and 3 hours for a home over 2000 sq feet. During our walk and talk, your stager determines the sellers needs and walks through each room asking the seller to make notes on our staging checklist. We put post it notes on items that need to be packed and removed. We address both inside rooms as well as outdoor spaces.

I write up all my recommendations to get the home ready for staging.

Explain to them they shouldn't take anything you say personal and that it's all about getting their house sold. Show them some examples of your past work and what home staging can do for their home. Answer: Two to four hours
Explanation: The amount of time that a home consultation should last is completely dependent on the size of the home and the amount of work needed. The more work a home needs the longer it will take to communicate that information to the homeowner. The larger the home is the longer it will take to walk through the entire property inside and out. The home stager also needs to keep the conversation focused on what the client should do to make their home more market ready, but build a relationship with the client at the same time. On average though it is usually at least 2 hours and at most 5 hours.
