Question: How long does it typically take to fully stage a 2,000 sf occupied home?
Top Answer (61% of 68 votes): One full day (8 hours).

Answer: One full day (8 hours)
Explanation: The amount of time to stage depends in part on how much 'homework' the homeowner has done. We start about a week ahead of time with a walk through consultation and provide a full report of the changes we recommend. If the home owner has already cleared away any extra furniture we don't plan to use, and packed the extra accessories, it is possible to stage the home in less than a day.
Constructive Consulting, LLC Home Staging & Redesign
Answer: One full day (8 hours)

1st Impressions Design
Answer: Three to five days
Explanation: There are several variables that affect the amount of time required to fully stage a home of this size. Some of these include: the homeowner's advance work de-cluttering and de-personalizing to prepare the home for staging, the volume of existing furnishings the stager is able to reuse, any purchases or rentals needed, and the time spent designing and executing a custom staging plan. Staging professionals understand time is of the essence when listing a property and we seek to maximize the homeowner's return on investment in the most expeditious way possible!

Then the stager will schedule the "staging day" and actually re-arrange furniture and accessories using the elements the home owner already owns and by adding additional items that have been brought in or purchased by the stager or home owner.
Restyled by Rita
Answer: One full day (8 hours)
Explanation: The time it takes to stage a home that is 2000 square feet depends a lot on the amount of work the homeowners have completed prior to the home stager completing the stage. The home should be de-cluttered, paint refreshed, professionally cleaned and repairs completed before the staging day is scheduled. Usually there is a re-schedule fee if the home is not ready on the day the staging is to take place. When all items to prepare the home have been completed (which the stager has communicated to the homeowners), the stage should only take 8 hours. It can be longer though if those items have not been completed or not completed well.

Sometimes we discover that we still need a few items to fill in or a piece of furniture doesn't work, and we will return the next day for a few hours to finish up.
